This dress reminds me of one of my favorite fashion moments in movie history… the polo scene in Pretty Woman, when Julia Roberts is wearing that brown and white polka-dot dress, cinched with a belt, and a straw hat. And, of course, I get confused for Julia Roberts all.the.time
in my dreams. Now all I need is a silver fox/billionaire to woo me and take me to polo matches… What are some of your favorite fashion moments in movies?

When in doubt, I always reach for a pair of straight leg or boyfriend jeans, an easy, oxford blouse, and a great pair of shoes. This foolproof ensemble always looks effortlessly chic, which is what every woman strives for, isn’t it?

Never ones to pass up a designer diffusion collection, my Mom and I picked out this number from the Derek Lam for Kohl’s line that launched recently. I love the combination of colors in this dress and its versatility – I can wear this dress to the office, out to dinner, or with flats and a scarf on the weekends. This piece is definitely joining the ranks of my go-anywhere Summer dresses…

I wore this outfit to peruse a Farmer’s Market with the manfriend last weekend… I balanced out the femininity of the floral skirt with a basic v-neck T and a worn-in parka. I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating that maxi skirts and dresses look effortlessly chic and are insanely comfortable, which makes for a perfect weekend get-up.

And here it is, my friends… Part three of my 1 piece 3 ways series featuring this adorable and fun Madewell mixed-print tee! This simple but chic look is a go-to for me on these warmer Spring weekends. Also carrying my favorite new splurge, a Badgley Mishka bag featuring a fantastic jolt of green. Which look is your favorite: work, date or weekend? Happy Friday!

P.S. Extra love for Boston this week after a tragic and tough Marathon Monday. There are lots of ways you can help out those who were affected, so please do what you can! XO
To transition this mixed-print Tee to a fun date night, I paired it with a high-waist skirt in an on-season green hue and sexy ankle-strap sandals. I also added gold jewelry to make the look a little extra special. Other great options for a date night include a leather skirt or shorts, skinny jeans and pumps, or a romantic, pleated midi-skirt. How would you style this Tee for a night out? Stay tuned for the final look: comfortable and chic for daytime!

This is part one in a 3-look series featuring this mixed pattern tee from Madewell. I used this piece in so many Lookbooks for my clients (sign up for a styling session here), that I knew I had to have it! To show how versatile this floral and striped top can be, I styled it for work, day, and a date-night using pieces from my own wardrobe. What do you think of this look for the office? Stay tuned for more ways to wear this Spring top!

I couldn’t wait any longer to break out this amazing, floral See by Chloe jacket that’s been hanging in my closet for months! I love the unexpected combination of a sporty parka with a pretty floral print, and since I don’t typically dress super feminine, this is a perfect piece for me to incorporate florals into my Spring wardrobe without feeling too girly. I can’t wait for it to be warm enough to have this jacket in my regular rotation!

Despite the recent snowstorm (in like a lion, right?), my fashion focus is on Spring, and the bright hue of these trousers injects the right touch of Springtime. Surprisingly, these blue pants are as versatile as they are audacious. In the spring, I will layer them with a chambray, scarf, and camel booties, and in the summer, I will opt for an easy tank and leather sandals. And did I mention they are ridiculously comfortable (much like this other favorite pair). How have you been adding a little much-needed Spring to your winter wardrobe?
