These claw bracelets have slightly different gold tones, but the major difference between them is a price of about $900! Pause for a moment to take that in, because my mind is still reeling… The unbelievably gorgeous piece on the left, which is a cuff I have been lusting over for years now since I first saw it in her showroom, is a Pamela Love creation which carries the price tag of a mere $920.00! On the right is a version made by ASOS, which retails for just over $20.00. Seems like an obvious choice, no?
P.S. I’d like to wish the most amazing Mom in the world a wonderful Mother’s Day! I miss you and love you very much. XO
Coincidentally, after starting this post three of my guy friends wore denim vests as a joke. Let’s just say, it wasn’t pretty. So, I am giving you three fun and funky ways to rock the denim vest, but… just don’t lend it to the boys. For the first look, I took a classic, white lace dress and added trendy pieces, like the vest, a neon belt, and chevron print platform sandals. The next look is more casual. I mixed dark denim jeans with the lighter denim vest, then added a cool, skull tank and white brogues. Add some color with a bold, orange bag like this gorgeous one from Rebecca Minkoff. For the last look, I layered the vest with a star-print maxi and a pink slouchy tank. Wear chic ankle booties to complete the look. Will you be layering with a denim vest this Spring/Summer? Which style is your favorite? You can purchase the denim vest featured above at Madewell for $88!
Humidity has forced me to pile my hair on my head… Usually around this time of the year, I give up and chop off the locks, but this year I am trying to resist the temptation toward hair liberation… Wish me luck. Oh, and Happy Friday! XO
Another dull, dreary day calls for pretty Spring pieces, like this pink lace skirt. I paired my favorite chambray shirt with it to keep the look relaxed, and I threw on some leopard booties for a bit of fun. Oh, and don’t mind the hair… It is humidity season. Yikes!
This Prada clutch really revs my engine… OK, sorry, that was just terrible. What I mean to say is, this clutch is wicked cool… I have no other way to describe it, so for those who aren’t from Mass and don’t understand the magnitude of “wicked,” try the engine comment again. 🙂
Anyway, the sad reality is there is no chance of this clutch ever being introduced to my closet. I’m slowly coming to terms with it… the therapy to fight cravings like this is helping. Sigh.
My friend’s recent purchase of floral jeans and her subsequent inquiry on how to wear them inspired this post. Floral jeans are ubiquitous right now, so if you catch the craze here are 3 ways you can style yours! The first look is a twist on the denim-on-denim look. Pair a chambray shirt and a scarf with your floral jeans for an updated casual look. The second look is more appropriate for a night out. A sheer white blouse and amazing nude wedges pair perfectly with the printed jeans. Add a collar necklace and a studded clutch to toughen up the otherwise soft look. For the last look, I embraced the pastel trend with a soft pink sweater and pretty gold accents. Which look will you be trying? This pair of floral jeans is by Current/Elliot and can be purchased here.
I’m terrified of snakes, but you gotta hand it to them because they’ve got serious style. I’ve had this blouse in my closet for a few weeks, and I’m glad I finally pulled it out because I got a lot of compliments on it. What’s even better is the fact that I purchased it at H&M for just $9.99! Can you say steal? On another note, I am in love with these black jeans, from James Jeans Couture Collection. I won them in a giveaway, and they are probably the most flattering and comfortable denim I own. I highly recommend them if you are in the market for a new pair of jeans. Have a great day!
Cheers to the old standby, the LBD. I have about… er, I’m not going to put a number on that, but this is a recent purchase that I am thrilled with. I was drawn to the asymmetrical draping, which gives this classic piece a modern update. As for why I chose to pose in front of these grimy windows… I couldn’t tell you. I hope you all had a great weekend!
