Weekend Recap: Shopping Trips and Drinks

The weekend was spent browsing but not buying… the worst kind of shopping trip. Only a delicious beverage can ease the pain of that, so the manfriend and I grabbed some drinks – can you guess which one is mine? Hope you all had a nice weekend!

P.S. If you want the wedges, get them here!

Currently Craving: Sunshine, Daisies, Butter Mellow…

I’ve been crushing on the color yellow recently… I literally own nothing yellow excluding perhaps a pair of sandals. It isn’t a terribly flattering color on me, unless I have a sweet tan. (Which I’ve recently lost since starting my “big girl” life). But there are so many different shades that at least one is bound to work for everybody, so here are some of my favorite picks:

Derek Lam maxi skirt, bold yellow nail polish, Emilio de la Morena silk shirtdress, French Connection shorts, Bauble Bar necklace, Rebecca Minkoff top

P.S. if you don’t know where the title came from, get with it… If you do, nerds unite!

Splurge vs. Steal: Tortoise Watch

splurge vs. steal: tortoise watch
Michael Kors makes the best watches. I have one in silver and one in rosegold, but I’ve had my eye on this tortoise shell watch on the left for a while now. This gorgeous Michael Kors watch is $225. Unfortunately, since the real world just creeped up on me, this watch isn’t in the budget right now, so I went searching for a similar, less pricey option. You are welcome, readers… On the right you have an Anne Klein version, which is just $65! I will never stop lusting over Michael Kors watches, but a cheaper option is always welcome.

Splurge vs. Steal

These claw bracelets have slightly different gold tones, but the major difference between them is a price of about $900! Pause for a moment to take that in, because my mind is still reeling… The unbelievably gorgeous piece on the left, which is a cuff I have been lusting over for years now since I first saw it in her showroom, is a Pamela Love creation which carries the price tag of a mere $920.00! On the right is a version made by ASOS, which retails for just over $20.00. Seems like an obvious choice, no?

P.S. I’d like to wish the most amazing Mom in the world a wonderful Mother’s Day! I miss you and love you very much. XO

Currently Craving: Prada leather car clutch

This Prada clutch really revs my engine… OK, sorry, that was just terrible. What I mean to say is, this clutch is wicked cool… I have no other way to describe it, so for those who aren’t from Mass and don’t understand the magnitude of “wicked,” try the engine comment again. 🙂

Anyway, the sad reality is there is no chance of this clutch ever being introduced to my closet. I’m slowly coming to terms with it… the therapy to fight cravings like this is helping. Sigh.

Currently Craving: Mondo Guerra Rorschach Dress

Since the season finale of Project Runway All Stars, I haven’t stopped thinking about this Rorschach inspired dress. I want need this dress.

I will literally do anything -climb every mountain, forge every stream, follow every rainbow…(er, you get the point,) until this fabulous item hangs in my closet. The pop of red on the sleeve is a brilliant design detail, and can you believe he made this print himself?! Incredible. Is anyone else as obsessed with Mondo Guerra and his amazing work as I am?

Currently Craving: Sunglasses

Craving Sunglasses
My mind is possessed with thoughts of sunshine due to my upcoming Spring Break. Unfortunately, I have an unusually small head (believe me, strangers have pointed this out), so sunglasses are a difficult accessory for me. That said, here are some pairs that I would add to my collection if my head and my wallet would allow it…
What shades are you craving for Springtime?
